As graduates of the Citizens' Police Academy (CPA), we feel that we can make a difference in our community by staying active with the APD and by sharing the knowledge gained at the Academy with our fellow citizens.

Our association has many opportunities for CPA graduates to remain involved on a volunteer basis - from representation at civic and community activities to role-playing for mock crime scenarios in new Officer and SWAT training exercises.

The Aurora Citizens' Police Academy Alumni Association (ACPAAA) strives to provide quarterly meetings that both educate and entertain our members.

Over the years, presentations have included speakers from within the Aurora Police Department, and from areas outside the department relative to law enforcement.

To complement our quarterly meetings, we plan educational activities such as tours of law enforcement related sites (i.e., Arapahoe County Jail, Rocky Mountain Computer Forensics Lab), and social activities to build and renew membership acquaintances.

In addition to speaker presentations and activities, the ACPAAA publishes a quarterly newsletter.

We are a non-profit, volunteer organization governed by an Executive Board with established Bylaws.
